Analisis Faktor Kinerja Mandor pada Proyek Konstruksi Pembangunan Gedung Kantor Cabang Utama BPD Kota Jambi

Abstract


Foreman performance is a critical factor determining the success of construction project execution, as the foreman serves as the frontline in managing the workforce and ensuring that work proceeds according to plan. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing foreman performance in the construction project of the main branch office building of the Regional Development Bank (BPD) in Jambi City, as well as to determine the most dominant factor. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach with saturated sampling involving 45 construction workers as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring four main factors (individual, work environment, organizational/managerial, and motivation and welfare) comprising 16 variables, and were analyzed using mean scores. The results indicate that the most dominant factor influencing foreman performance is the availability of tools and materials, with a mean score of 4.20, followed by physical and psychological conditions (4.13) and technical work skills (4.10). These findings suggest that project logistics readiness significantly determines the effectiveness of the foreman’s role in controlling on-site work execution. Project management is advised to improve the planning and control systems for tools and materials to enhance overall project efficiency.
