Gotong Royong dan Toleransi antara Umat Beragama di Nusa Tenggara Timur dalam Kegiatan MTQ dan Pembangunan Rumah Ibadah
Abstract
Modern societies whose members consist of adherents of different religions are very vulnerable to conflict. However, in the East Nusa Tenggara community studied in this study, differences in religious backgrounds do not bring them into conflict. This is due to the high tolerance between religious communities and well-developed social interactions in East Nusa Tenggara. High tolerance between religious communities is seen by the fact that there has never been an open conflict between religious communities, even between them there has been cooperation between one religious group and another. They are of the view that religion and belief are individual matters where there is an awareness of mutual respect and an agreement not to interfere with the beliefs of others.
